The banks of the Tamraparni (near Marthandam, off the NH to Kanyakumari)and its minor tributaries are dotted with ancient structures that are closely linked with the history of the erstwhile state of Travancore. One such relic is the Sri Adikesava kshetram in Tiruvattar, located fifty kilometres from Thiruvananthapuram.

When kids or even teens of Kerala think of amusement trips,the first name that comes into mind is veegaland cochin.Thousands of people from many parts of india visits this amucement park.

This is a water theme park. It is owned by the Kochouseph Chittilappilly, one of the best business magnets of kerala.He started it as a sma;ll unit but now it has grown to a mega business.

About half way between Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam is Varkala, ideally situated on a piece of cliffy head-land, over looking a strip of surf beaten beach. Located on the hill top is the Janardana temple. The tradition behind the origin of the temple is well worth relating.
