Agra Fort

On the very next morning, we were ready at the SR stores. By nearly 6.30 the bus came.Panikkers travels is a leading travel agency in Delhi. They have daily trips to various parts of India.
The journey was comfortable. since the bus was a volvo,we could relax and travel. Also a bachan movie was playing in the video.On the way we saw many acres of farms and manz big factories. The roads are very good. Also there was not much traffic.

On the way the bus stopped at a small restaurant and we had food. Food is not much costly.

We directly went to the Agra fort. In agra we saw many leather factories.Agra, is well connected to all parts of the country. From Delhi it is 204 km.
Agra fort was built by the mughal king Akbar (called the Akbar the great)during the beginning of the sixteenth century (between 1565 and 1571). Later many additions were made by his successors.As a result The fort contains beautiful constructions both in red sandstone built by Akbar and white marble later by Shahjahan and Jehangir.
Ww wandered through the garden in the fort, through the courtyard.also we saw jahangirs palace,Jahangiri Mahal and also Diwan-I-khas (Hall of Private audience) is a small hall with double marble columns inlaid with pietra dura decoration.

Also we saw the private chamber in which Aurangzeb imprisoned Shajahan . Shajahan was allowed to view Taj Mahal (situated across Yamuna from Agra Fort) from his private chamber every evening. Also he was given a concave mirror to see the mounament when his eyesight was bad.

The merciless war for powers in families and countries across the world have a long history. In india from the time of Mahabharatha or even before that this has started. Also remember from the bible that the first killing was within a family.

We were informed by our guide that, many parts of the great fort was occupied by the army and not open to tourists.Anyway agra fort is a beautiful and majestic mounament one should see if he visits india.
so many little children was there trying to sell us books and so on. We bought some books and got into the bus.
