Idea star singer: A musical Talent search in Asianet by Kannan Balakrishnan

Channels are after musical talent. The latest example is Asianet programme Star Singer sponsored by Idea a leading GSM brand. The program is aimed at finding the best singers of Kerala. After the first round, 45 participants were selected for the remaining rounds. Among the nearly 100 participants, the judges remarked that nearly 80 percent were good singers.
The contest is in five rounds. From the third round onwards audience can vote through SMS. The fifth round will be a among 10 contestants, who will be selected by rigorous screening. The judges will also perform together with the participants . Also there will be guest judges, who will participate in the performance. The current judges are Usha Uthuppu, M.G Sreekumar and Sarath.
The anchor is Ranjini Haridas,whose style and accent evolved critisism from many bloggers. But in my opinion she performs fairly well.
The second round has started which is a performance round. The judges announces marks for each performer immedietly after the performance.Also the comments of the candidates parents are shown. each days show ends by a joint song by all the singers of the day.

This is for Asianet ISS viewers. Some of you might have wondered why good singers are going out. They are telling its because of SMS. But actually nothing like that. SMS is a real drama. Last elimination round was shoot almost one month back (I knew the yesterday's eliminated list almost three
weeks back through ISS blogs) but they were asking to send SMS until day before yesterday. Still do you think that ur SMS counted? So this is to inform u that don't send any SMS further. Elimination round drama is purposefully created to promote SMS. (Sending some good candidates out in the name of SMS)

ISS 2008
Iss 2008 is really boring without the previous host and judges.The new set prepared is also very poor, its like too much crowdy, and about the host ,she is not up to the mark. renjini was fabulous,she was very much energetic, friendly and supportive to the contestents,about her language i dont find anything strange un her language infact she can speak malayalam very well.The present host ,though she can speak malayalam well her presentation is very poor, she doest not have that Gambhiriam which renjini had.

yes some of comments is correct.
Actually why they are looking sms. due to low sms some good singers are eleimated from the compatition. it they look sms and why judges are giving marks. so, as per our freinds told that previous comments that these sms are for only income. final round i shown in singar AMRITHA. she is very nice singer and good tallent. but, due to low sms she has eleminated. this is not good compatition. they have to only for marks not for sms. if any worng comments i am sorry.

I dont know why Ranjin presents the show in sucha vulgur language. All th vewers of thsi show are only malayalees. every one sho knows malayalam is its vewers. but all the vewers are not proficient in English and otehr languages. Then why cant she talk pure malayalam with good accent.
Her language is not a good version.

I am also supporting you.... becuase we are all malayalees i think most of the viewers of this progragamme are from middle calss families.. they cant pickup the meaning what she saying.... and also his dressing ..

SMS IS NOT SINCERE
If idea star singer is sincere in SMS why cant they allow SMS from free services like rediffbol and yahoo messenger??? Why they are charging it Rs. 6 and above. why sms are be charged above the normal rates (that is 50 paise) by the provideres. why they are charging for their replys to our mobiles. So it is clear that only income is the matter of concern. These SMS are not valid becaouse they are not checking the SMS and considerring for marks. This show is a pre recorded one. so SMS voting is really a foolishness to the vewers. It is really a cheating. Dont SMS for a shot that are not live and charges high. It can be prevented only by filing cases against the service providers for charging high aginst their normal and offered sms charges. The cases should be filed against the contestents also for pressuring viewers to this cheat.
The Jurry
The Jurry who were there till the 8th round almost constnatly were M.G.S and Sarath. If anyone including M.G.Radhakrishnan consider that the Jurry is right in thier Judgemts and marks awarded to various contestants are judiciouly done i fail to post my comments. But i feel that Mr. K.J.Jesedas might agree with me.
The Judgements
Idea mobiles is triying to find talents. Is it true? no they are after the circulation of their mobile net work. If i am wrong please correct me. but the confederation of or the Synadicate is the Asianet with the Confdent Group who is the giver of the Prize of 40 lakhs worth of flat who have not yet a built a flat worth 1 lakh and who have so far no bais in india is trying to cover the whole of the media Industry. If i am wrong i will chllenge the Confident Group to Court. If they are ready i will show the pictures of the first venture in Thanikal Elamakara, Cochin26.

Hi all...
why all these people are so conscious with this reality show like ISS. I will tell you one thing this is a TV serial as like the other routine one. The best thing is that we can hear verity of sounds from the new generation singing. Just forget about the SMS “Do not send SMS “if you like to Donate some money for making this serial then go head. And we have 3 more actors in Malayalam cine field and that is M.G.Sree Kumar, Usha Udup she already acted in a film so she is doing a good job and the music director Mr. Sharath.

elimination of mr varun j thilak is not justified. he is goodsinger than sanni, and some thing happpened for case of varun was not revieled to public. sanni is not good singer to enter into 5 fth stage. should be professional .

Elimination of Krishnajit
Elimination of Krishnajit shows the reality show is not worthwhile to singing. This is a very serious business for money making like other tv programmes. In Idea star singer show, judjus are more aware the face reading (smiles) of the participants other than the soul of the music. Krishnajit has improved his singing and performance very much and always very well singing.

Why did judjes make him out? He should be IN and sanni should be out. he sings more than Sanni. Sanni can sing only one type of song. Krishnajith can sing all. The elimination should be in the base of the marks. Not in the base of SMS.
Idea star singer has entered the seventh round
Three participants were eliminalted when star singer entered the seventh round. Now this round consists of three items. What do you say about this elimination?Was it Just?

Why judjes were gave 76 marks to vani? I thing the remaining participats of theam baised songs will not get this much of marks .this is a hidden ajanda!!! and also SMS is not the base for elimination.
